Est-ce que les chanceux qui ont vu Hilary hier soir ont reconnu les 4 pièces jouées en bis ? A part la Campanella (un peu massacrée d'ailleurs), je n'ai rien reconnu.

hey alcyd ... (et tous ceux qui se sont rendu au concert du 14) tu ne t'es pas apercu que Hilary jouait sur un violon "Made in cHiNa"???

Car figure toi que Sabayonne et moi nous avons ENFIN le vuillaume !!! nous avons echangé les etuis durant la seance autographe a la fin du concert.
L'etui de la petite Hilary était la ... tout seul ... et voila

Sabayonne et moi nous avons decidé de faire moitié moitié ... 1 semaine chez elle, 1 semaine chez moi.

Bon, plus serieusement, le concert salle pleyel était tres tres tres sympa
Hilary était au top de sa forme lol (meme apres ce petit "pouffement" de rire au debut de la sonate de mozart) ... bah oui quoi ... ca arrive a tout le monde de se tromper lol apres quelques applaudissements elle a recommencé et c'etait superbe! Et je ne parle meme pas de la sonate d'Ysaye ...

"And then, onstage, the biggest surprise of all: going completely awry in the first half of the first movement of the Mozart sonata. I don't know what I did – I mean, I know which wrong notes I played and what they led to, but I don't know where they came from! The result was that once I got off track, I couldn't find my way back, and Valentina and I played in dissonance for a few seconds before I concluded that there was nothing to do but start over. So we stopped, and I shrugged, and the audience laughed in relief, and back we went to the beginning of the movement, and everything was fine from there on out.

Aside from those minor hitches, the recital went really well. The hall was not at all what I'd remembered; it turns out that the renovations of the past few years amounted to a near-total gutting of the space and a new hall, new backstage, new almost everything. The rebuilt hall is fantastic.

I wasn't even too tired at the end of the evening, and while some of the audience gave us a "walking ovation" – applauding as they head to their cars – others wanted us to keep playing and we ran out of encores. (Note: walking ovations aren't uncommon after longer programs. Concertgoers need to rush off to relieve the babysitter, or catch the last train to their suburb, or go to sleep as soon as possible because they start work at 6 am the next day.) "

"I'm pretty sure I played the best recital of my life tonight. It was certainly the longest, with this mammoth program followed by four encores – two together and two solo (one from each of us). The encore thing is two-sided: the performers have to be inspired to present as many as the audience desires; it's hard to pull piece after piece out of one's pocket at the end of a trying evening, and everyone in the hall is tired. Tonight, we offered everything we could, because this crowd was fantastic. Not that we've withheld on other evenings, it was just a remarkable audience and that kept our energy up throughout the concert.

There was nothing awkward about this performance. The hall felt comfortable yet important, with just the right acoustics onstage; the program was paced and fittingly prepared; my body knew exactly how much energy to conserve and expend for each piece; and the audience was a dream."
